LIFE IS A PUZZLE

A few years ago I was putting together a puzzle to keep my mind sharp. It was my habit to try and put all the outside pieces together first as much as possible. This puzzle however, I had also started doing some of the middles as I saw them fit together. As I continued to work the edges, the pieces were not coming together as they should. Something was definitely off. Time went on as I tried and tried to figure out why it was not coming together. I have to tell you both sides of the puzzle tops looked very similar in color. One night as I was looking at the outside it occurred to me that maybe they were not in the right places. Taking a portion of them apart, I began to re-work the pieces. Eventually, I figured out that I had them all wrong. Some belonged on the other side of the puzzle, I had them reversed! As I continued to re-work the puzzle, the Lord spoke to my heart. Sometimes you think things are supposed to go a certain way. It may look like it’s the right way, but it is not. Only My Way is the right way. Follow me and I will put the pieces of your life together in the perfect order. Then at the end of your time on Earth and you are with Me, you will see how My Way was perfect. So, allow Him to piece it all together. You may not see the big picture, BUT God does! Trust Him! He is the Master of fitting the pieces of our lives together!!

CHALLENGING PATHS

In life there are many obstacles as we walk through our days. Our path is never smooth, even, or free of obstacles. Paths are full of rocky gravel, roots that come up from the ground and thankfully smooth soft pine needle places. The roots come up to trip us up. The gravel makes walking painful at times. But, grab the hand of Jesus and trust Him! We can walk with confidence that He will be there to help us over the roots or even catch us if we trip. He will steady our steps as we walk the rocky gravel places and lead us to the soft comforting pine needle paths to give us rest. Each type of obstacle does grow our faith. We need to trust that He is with us no matter what. So, dedicate each day to Him and hold tight. No matter what the day brings, Jesus is there to guide us! Trust Him and hang on!

Ripples

It all starts with one pebble dropped into someone’s life. That recipient then drops a pebble into another’s life, the ripple continues. Jesus dropped pebbles into the disciples life. The disciples dropped pebbles of truth into their community and beyond. Jesus appeared to Paul and dropped a pebble of truth into his life. This ripple spread to the gentiles which touched Timothy. Timothy, the pastor of the largest church of that time. That ripple continues to this day. Be a pebble-drop God’s truth into someone’s life an it will ripple out to touch the world. We may never know on this earth who we have touched. The good news is we will meet them in heaven. Every pebble has a purpose, don’t be afraid to drop them. No pebble is too small. Ripples get bigger the farther out they go from the source. Never think you wasted a pebble. Each pebble is a divine word, it will have its effect.

Be blessed, Never be afraid! He is always with us.

DARK CLOUDS

It occurred to me one morning as I was driving to work, the sky was very dark with clouds. The Lord showed me that no matter how thick the clouds are, some light always shines through. Maybe not rays of sunshine, but light, not complete darkness. The rain then comes and refreshes the earth, nurtures the soil and plants. The sun fully comes out warming and shining down causing the plant to grow and be useful for nourishment. This applies to us-dark clouds may come over us but the Son is still there, waiting to rain blessings down on us. After the rain, the Son’s light fully comes an helps us grow. It fills us with joy! We are then nourished and ready for service, to feed whomever God places in our path. So rejoice in the clouds! Your blessings are coming!

Water

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a well watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.

Drought in my soul-dry, brittle, and easily broken… BUT God will satisfy my soul so I will no longer be dry, brittle or easily broken. My bones will be strengthened. Bones hold us upright, our vital organs are contained by our bones. The stronger our bones the more upright we can walk.

Well-watered gardens are flourishing. They keep growing, they are not in drought. As the garden grows it produces fruit which nourishes those around us. Out of us will flow life into others. God’s word is a spring of water which will continually keep us from drought. It waters our garden of life so we may be fruitful for Him.

If I am not diligent in my garden, weeds will grow, disease will damage the fruit. My fruit will not grow and it will be bitter. They must be fed good nutrients and be watered and pruned in order to grow to their full potential and be healthy.

I must have healthy plants in the garden of my life, so I may feed those around me. Thorns must not be allowed to sprout up. Thorns harm people. Thorns can be words or actions that will damage instead of being nourishing. My life is a garden. I must take care of it, not being lazy, but diligent in looking for pests that can invade my garden and damage it. Carefully looking for weeds, the need for water or food. Rich soil equals healthy plants and healthy plants are a blessing to those around me.

Be blessed my dear friends! Take care of your garden!!!
